- DP (Display Picture), yaitu Foto Profil BBM atau gambar profil BlackBerry Messenger.
- BM (BlackBerry Message), yaitu Chat BBM atau pesan pribadi yang hanya terjadi pada dua orang tidak lebih dan bukan chat didalam obrolan group.
- PM (Personal Message), yaitu status Profil BBM, sama halnya status di facebook.
- Invite, yaitu mengirimkan permintaan untuk menjadikan sebagai contact BBM.
- Delcont (Delete Contact), yaitu menghapus salah satu contact bbm.
- Gadeliv / GDLV (Gak Delivered) / Deelay / Pending, yaitu Chat BBM yang tertunda, atau belum terkirim.
- Ping Me (PING!!! saya), yaitu permintaan untuk mengirimkan PING!!!, ini fasilitas dari BBM sama halnya seperti BUZZ di Yahoo Messenger.
- BC (Broadcast), yaitu Mengirimkan pesan siaran keseluruh contact BBM, fasilitas ini biasanya sering digunakan sebagai cara untuk mempromote contact teman yang baru menggunakan BB dengan tujuan agar diinvite oleh banyak user.
- Share, yaitu membagikan atau membroadcast ulang sebuah info.
- BIS (BlackBerry Internet Service)
